You can make your voice heard through our regular surveys and consultations.

They include processes we must undertake such as asking you about the annual proposal for how much you should pay for policing through the council tax. You are offered a choice of response methods for these.

We will also be promoting consultations by our partners and other organisations on this page.

Police and Crime Plan Consultation (2025-2029)
Have Your Say: Police and Crime Plan Consultation (2025-2029)

One of the key roles of the Police and Crime Commissioner is to produce a Police and Crime Plan, which sets out the direction for policing in Dyfed-Powys for the next four years. This important document, mandated by the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011, outlines the strategic priorities for the community's safety and well-being.

By completing this questionnaire, residents have a unique opportunity to influence vital policing decisions. The feedback gathered will be combined with research and assessments of local needs, resources, and priorities to shape the future of policing in Dyfed-Powys.

The vision for the Dyfed-Powys Police area is to create a safe environment for living, learning, working, and traveling. To achieve this, the plan focuses on three main goals:

- Supporting safer communities and preventing harm;
- Supporting victims and preventing victimisation;
- Delivering justice.

Additionally, we will be arranging community engagement events in September where you will be able to discuss the police and crime plan priorities in finer detail with the Commissioner.  These events will offer further opportunities for in-depth discussions and community engagement.
