The Nelson Trust’s Carmarthen Women’s Centre has been celebrated for its impact on community safety, earning recognition at the Safer Communities Awards in Wrexham. The Women’s Centre, supported by funding from Police and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn, provides a vital safe space for women in challenging circumstances.

Representing the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, the Partnerships and External Funding Manager attended the awards ceremony to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of the Nelson Trust. The Women’s Centre in Carmarthen plays a pivotal role in addressing issues such as domestic violence, addiction, and mental health struggles, offering tailored support to women in the Dyfed-Powys area.
