The Dyfed Powys Criminal Justice Board provides the forum to bring together key partners and senior representatives of Criminal Justice agencies operating within Dyfed-Powys to enable collaboration and partnership working. The Board is responsible and accountable for the service provided to victims and witnesses, the delivery of the criminal justice targets in this area, improvements in the delivery of justice and securing public confidence.

The Vision of the Dyfed Powys Criminal Justice Board is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the criminal justice system in Dyfed Powys, including improving the experience for victims and witnesses and building confidence in the system as a whole.

Priority areas

For 2024/25, the Board has adopted two main priorities:

  1. Victims and Witnesses
  2. People who Offend

‘Tackling violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence’ and Children and young people’ are two golden threads across all priorities.

The Dyfed-Powys Criminal Justice Board will feed into the All Wales plan whilst also focusing on local priorities within these areas.
