As Pride Month 2025 is celebrated across the UK, Police and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn is keen to recognise the importance of diversity and inclusion of the LGBT+ community across the Dyfed-Powys area.

Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn and his Office are supporters of the LGBTQ+ community. Later this month, the Commissioner, and members of the OPCC will be attending the Annual General Meeting of the Wales LGBT+ Police Network.

Police and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn said:

“My office and I are proud allies of the LGBTQ+ community, and we look forward to attending the annual Award of Excellence event on June 27th. The award is presented to allies in recognition of their commitment to the LGBTQ+ Community. Their commitment and support deserves to be recognised and celebrated.”

Throughout the month of June, there will be many events you can attend to show your support.

🔹Pembrokeshire Pride – Festival of Inclusion: Located in Lamphey, 4th- 6th July

🔹Llanelli Pride: Located in Selwyn Samuel Centre, 12th July (09:00 – 23:00)

🔹Llandovery Pride: Located in Market Square, 2nd August (10:00 – 20:00)

🔹Carmarthen Pride: Located in Carmarthen, 30th August

“I want to continue supporting the LGBTQ+ Community by promoting diversity, inclusion, and equal rights for all” the Commissioner added. “Every single person deserves the right to live freely and be authentically themselves.”

This month we support all those within the LGBTQ+ Community. Show your support through listening to community voices, attending pride events, and educating yourself and others on the importance of being an ally. Let’s celebrate the differences of others – Listen, Learn, Support.

Happy Pride Month.
