Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner Showcases Volunteer Opportunities and Public Engagement at the 2025 Royal Welsh Show

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) for Dyfed-Powys will be at the 2025 Royal Welsh Show in Builth Wells to highlight its growing network of volunteers and to encourage the public to have their say on policing and community safety.
Located at stand 478-E on Avenue E, the OPCC team will be on hand throughout the week to raise awareness of its four public volunteer schemes;Β Independent Custody Visitors, Animal Welfare Visitors, Youth Ambassadors, and the Quality Assurance PanelΒ and to encourage more people across the Dyfed-Powys area to get involved.
Visitors can also take part in several live consultations and surveys, including:
- Perceptions of Policing Survey β This short survey gathers views on public confidence in policing and the progress made towards the outcomes set under the 2025β29 Police and Crime Plan priorities.
The Police and Crime Commissioner is particularly keen to hear from individuals across a range of backgrounds to help shape more inclusive policy and practice:
π Share your views - Rural Crime Survey β Run in partnership with Aberystwyth University, this survey aims to understand the impact of rural crime and how it can be better addressed across Dyfed-Powys:
π Take the Rural Crime Survey - Youth Survey β Open to 18β25-year-olds, this survey seeks views on policing and youth justice in the region as part of a wider Select Committee review. Responses will help inform future approaches to prevention and support:
π Complete the Youth Survey - Open Call for Evidence β Alongside the survey, members of the public and organisations are also invited to submit written evidence on issues affecting young people and community safety.
