Neighbourhood Policing Week: Celebrating the Neighbourhood Policing Teams in Dyfed-Powys

Monday 23rd June marks the start of Neighbour Policing Week. As this week is celebrated across the UK, Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn is keen to highlight and praise the vital work Neighbour Policing Teams do within communities across the policing area.
Neighbourhood Policing Teams are comprised of police officers and Police Community Support Officers (PCSO’s), who are dedicated to policing certain areas within the community. These officers have valuable knowledge of their area and have important connections with the public, local councillors, public services and charities, working to identify and understand issues affecting community safety. These important connections allow the public to have regular points of contact with officers who know the issues faced by the local community.
Police and Crime Commissioner, said:
“This week celebrates Neighbourhood Policing Teams, and I’d like to extend a special thanks to all those officers in the Dyfed-Powys policing area. Your continuous hard work and dedication to creating safer communities is appreciated and recognised by myself. I’m proud of the dedication shown by officers and PCSO’s across the Dyfed-Powys area.”
Neighbourhood Policing Teams help policing be more accessible, approachable and gain trust between local communities and officers.
“Communities should be safe for everyone, and Neighbour Policing Teams are significant contributors to making Dyfed-Powys communities safe and welcoming to all,” said Dafydd Llywelyn, Police and Crime Commissioner. “This week is about saying thank you.”
