Animal Welfare Visitors
The welfare of police dogs is a high priority; their handling must be effective, humane, ethical and transparent.
Volunteers in my Animal Welfare Scheme look at the conditions of the Dyfed-Powys dogs. Each dog handler is seen by a visitor at least once a year.
Issues raised are considered by police inspectors and updates are provided to me.
